The South African Cannabis sativa trade is estimated to be around R4 billion per annum, whilst in the whole globe its growth is forecasted to be around 39.4 billion US dollars by 2023. Hence, MEC Makhosazana Meth, at the just ended East London Cannabis Conference alluded that “The time is now!” for Cannabis sativa to create a vibrant economy where people will own majority in the industry and work, hence government support for this industry is here now. Various issues were raised at the discussions in East London that the conference would like to continue with in order to assist all the players involved in the Cannabis Industry.
